It is planned that the OCDI website will provide a gateway to the research publications of the Initiative’s organizers and collaborators.  While a page for this purpose is still in development, some provisional links are given below.

Dan Swan’s principle works include several books: Peyote Religious Art: Symbols of Faith and Belief (1999), Art of the Osage (with Garrick Bailey) (2004), and  Treasures of Gilcrease (with Anne Morand, Kevin Smith and Sarah Erwin)  (2003).

Jason Baird Jackson is the author of one book–Yuchi Ceremonial Life: Performance, Meaning and Tradition in a Contemporary American Indian Community (2003). He served as Associate Editor of the Southeast Volume of the Smithsonian Institution’s Handbook of North American Indians (2004) and he is the editor of the journals Museum Anthropology and Museum Anthropology Review. A listing of his other publication projects can be found on his website here.
